The reference allele nomenclature is applicable to all assays in our rhAmp™ SNP Assay database. The reference allele simply refers to whether an allele matches a SNP-specific region in the reference genome (GRCh38).
Other terms require that data exists to determine if the allele can be classified as wild type, major, ancestral, or other term. Detailed information is not available for every SNP in the database and other nomenclature is subject to change.
